Guetan Calvin Elito was born in 1988 and has always showed interest in acting and singing. At the age of 12, he started performing at talent shows in London gaining a following. He has performed at such venues as Hackney Empire, Chats Palace and Stratford Circus. At 15, he joined an acting school and performed with his theatre group at many youth festivals up and down the UK, and subsequently joined a boy group.
At 20, while on holiday in New York, Guetan impressed and got scouted by model agent George Brown. Upon his return to London, he got picked up by London modelling agency D1 Models. After 4 years of modelling, he got back into acting and music, while still modelling on the side. He joined identity drama group and now attends classes at Actor in Session in Notting hill with actor Christopher Obi Ogugua. In 2011, Guetan started attending classes at the Hoxton Street Academy and in 2012 he landed a short film with Red Bee media called “Summer”, followed by another short in 2013 with director Jeremy Cole for Channel 4.
In 2014, Elito was cast in a British feature film called “A Hundred Streets” where he plays the character called Louis alongside Idris Elba, Gemma Arterton, Franz Drameh and Samantha Barks, just to name a few. The film is directed by Jim O’Hanlon and written by Leon Butler. Since then, Guetan has acted in numerous short films, a few music videos and has been featured modelling in campaigns/magazines. He is also currently working on an acoustic music EP.
